Live Room
The live room at 3HD is a large 400+ square foot area that has been sonically treated to allow for some natural reverberation. This room is best suited for larger groups and particularly groups that will benefit from natural air and space in their recordings (brass ensembles, choirs, jazz bands). But also, can be configured for loud rock or metal by utilizing the numerous amp closets within.
The Iso Booth
Not merely a cramped vocal closet, the iso booth at 3HD can accommodate several performers or even a moderately sized drum set. This is the most “dead” room in the studio and is intended for applications where the environment is not as welcome on the recording. The Iso Booth at 3HD is the perfect spot for recording audiobooks, voice-overs, vocals, podcasts, or anything that needs to be recorded as purely as possible.
The Control Room
The heart and soul of the studio, the control room is where the “magic” happens. With professional grade Focusrite interfaces, loads of plugins, up to 24 bit 192 kHz resolution and Yamaha monitoring, your music is going to receive the deluxe treatment on it’s way to your listener’s ears.
